Katherine Buchan Meadow
24 Oct 2025
The brilliant Tempur team returned to Katherine Buchan Meadow - a much-loved community space brimming with biodiversity. In partnership with Ealing Council, Amanda, Buglife, and GreenTheUK, Tempur helped further enhance the meadow by sowing new wildflower seeds and plug planting.
The first task was to rake the meadow’s thatch to expose bare soil before carefully sowing a ‘restore and renew’ mix of native wildflower seeds. The second challenge was planting Narcissus ‘Ice Follies’ bulbs along the meadow’s boundaries and the grass verge on Lower Boston Road - no easy feat in stony, compacted soil but Team Tempur rose to the challenge. Since the last planting day, Katherine Buchan Meadow has been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ by London in Bloom, recognising the incredible community effort behind this project. Over the summer, Tempur teams also revisited the site to see the wildflowers in full bloom.
Thank you Tempur UK for your commitment to UK wildlife.
