Atherstone
22 Sep 2025
In late September, Aldi invited GreenTheUK to their headquarters in Atherstone for a Carbon and Climate event, celebrating progress across Aldi’s UK biodiversity projects delivered in partnership with us.
Throughout the day, team members from across Aldi dropped by the lunchroom to meet the GreenTheUK and Royal Forestry Society teams, learning more about the impact and importance of Aldi’s nature restoration work. Together, we shared updates from across the UK, from 10,000 trees planted and 900 square metres of oyster reefs restored, to the protection of temperate rainforests in Cornwall and Devon and the upcoming restoration of 50,000 square metres of wildflower meadows.
Aldi staff also took part in habitat trivia and tree bingo, competing for eco-friendly prizes such as wildflower seed packets and locally sourced honey - each activity designed to bring their biodiversity projects to life.
It was a brilliant day of collaboration, conversation and hands-on engagement around nature and sustainability.
