Hockeridge and Pancake Woods
Royal Forestry Society
02 Jun 2026
LMAX Group spent the day focused on practical conservation and woodland protection: supporting natural habitats by building hibernaculums for newts - simple structures made from natural materials like logs, stones and soil. These create safe, insulated spaces where amphibians can shelter and survive the colder months.
Thank you LMAX Group for joining the Royal Forestry Society and GreenTheUK for a third year and for dedicating ~303 hours to nature across all volunteering events so far. A huge thank you to the brilliant team at the RFS for their expertise, guidance and the incredible work they do every day to protect the UK’s forests.
