Walthamstow Wetlands

Walthamstow Wetlands is one of Europe's largest urban wetland nature reserves, covering around 211 hectares in the heart of London. It's an important place for wildlife, especially wintering waterbirds such as gadwall and shoveler, plus herons, cormorants and great crested grebes.
MSIG returned to Walthamstow Wetlands with London Wildlife Trust and GreenTheUK for another brilliant Wild Work Day. The team spent the day cutting back overgrown pathways to make the reserve more accessible for the local community, and learning about the wildlife that calls this place home.
