On the 1st of May, the VSBW team took part in supporting their local community. VSBW, a joint venture between VolkerStevin and Boskalis Westminster Ltd., is working on the Southsea Coastal Scheme and is committed to protecting the local environment throughout their project.

As such, members of the VSBW team joined GreenTheUK and Blue Marine Foundation in Portsmouth to help clean and prepare native oysters for their deployment into the Solent the next day. Each oyster had to be cleaned one by one to remove harmful and non-native species that could be damaging to the Solent and the oysters.

Thank you to VSBW for supporting the restoration of approximately 200 square metres of native oyster reefs for the second year in a row.
