SUPPORT CURLEW CONSERVATION WITH GREENTHEUK
To promote and support Curlew conservation.
In just 25 years we’ve lost 65% of the Eurasian Curlew population in Britain. Their haunting and eerie call is worth protecting in it’s own right, but if we let this species go extinct, we will lose so much more. Curlews are a bioindicator species, meaning they represent the overall health of the environment they live in and their decline is a worrying message for biodiversity in Britain. We’re losing the curlew due to poor agricultural practices, draining of wetlands, increased predation, afforestation and climate change.
ABOUT CURLEW ACTION:
Curlew Action supports curlew recovery by advocating for conservation efforts, developing, and sharing resources for fieldworkers, and promoting wider natural history education.
