YOUR PARK BRISTOL & BATH

ENHANCE URBAN GREEN SPACES WITH GREENTHEUK

AIM:

To restore and enhance Bristol and Bath’s urban green spaces, creating thriving places for both people and nature.

LOCATION:

Bristol and Bath.

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Urban nature enhancement means restoring habitats, boosting biodiversity, and connecting communities through green spaces.

Urban green spaces are extremely important to local wildlife. These spaces host diverse habitats and offer an escape from the concrete and cars that dominate cities. They’re also very important to people, with the mental and physical health benefits of having access to green space being well documented. However, an estimated 1 in 3 residents in Bristol and Bath cannot easily access a green space and many of these parks suffer from a limited upkeep. Management and improvement of these green spaces means more access for local community members and better, healthier spaces for wildlife.

Conservation activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Tree planting
  • Hedgerow coppicing
  • Wildflower planting
  • Park clean-ups

WHY GET INVOLVED?

Working with GreenTheUK and Your Park gives companies the chance to deliver real, lasting change where it matters most - on people’s doorsteps. Every partnership helps create healthier communities and richer habitats across Bristol and Bath. From restoring meadows to supporting wellbeing sessions, your sponsorship has a visible impact that employees, customers and local people can see and share.

Together we can boost biodiversity, improve wellbeing, and create green spaces everyone can be proud of.

ABOUT YOUR PARK BRISTOL AND BATH:

Your Park Bristol & Bath is the only charity that can work in any park across Bristol and Bath and each year, their team and volunteers create and care for over 100,000m2 of wildflower meadows, ponds, woodlands, grasslands and orchards. Your Park empowers communities through inclusive, nature-rich and engaging park activities across the two cities, and works to reintroduce natural habitats to parks while improving community access to them. Since 2019 they have positively transformed over 55 parks and hosted over 260 mental health sessions.
